Heretical Gaming is my blog about my gaming life, featuring small skirmishes and big battles from many historical periods (and some in the mythic past or the far future too). The focus is on battle reports using a wide variety of rules, with the occasional rules review, book review and odd musing about the gaming and history. Most of the battles use 6mm-sized figures and vehicles, but occasionally 15mm and 28mm figures appear too.

An Enforced Interlude

I haven't been able to do any gaming over the last couple of months, my work schedule has been brutal and past a certain point of busyness and pressure, I've learnt not to even try to keep gaming.  For me, although I appreciate that it seems that others are totally different, I need a certain amount of intellectual energy left to enjoy gaming and recently that energy has been at a premium.

The situation isn't entirely clear yet, but I'm hoping that work will become more manageable in the next week or so and I'll be able to resume gaming.  In the meantime, in the odd spare moment, I've managed to make a few more bits of terrain and painted up a small number of figures - some Baccus 6mm Wars of the Roses figures.  I will try and post something on these in the near future.  However, my main aim is to get the next part of my Peninsular Campaign played and I'm really looking forward to getting that going again shortly after Christmas.
